Did you catch the very first face off post earlier this afternoon? I pitted the USDA’s MyPlate up against the Harvard Healthy Eating Plate to see which better represents how Americans in this day and age should be eating. A very interesting debate going on!
I snacked my way through this day, squeezing in snacks as opposed to meals when I could.

still raining here in chicago, but it’s bright and shiny inside!
unfortunately it was a sad afternoon for chicago fans when the bears lost to the new orleans saints on the upside, there’s always next week and we enjoyed some delicious food throughout the game!

it’s cooling down out here in the midwest! we woke up to a chilly 64 degrees upstairs in our bedroom… getting close to flipping on the heat! crazy to think that monday i was wearing flip flops to walk the dogs and last night i made dinner in my ugg slippers. i love the changing seasons, and fall is my most favorite time of year, but it just means we’re that much closer to the dreaded chicago winter.
